In 2017, Somerset County New Jersey Sheriff's Deputies became the first in the country to adopt the Project Lifesaver variant of the Lockheed Martin Indago unmanned aircraft system (UAS). Several other sheriff's offices are also adopting the system, which can locate people who have wandered from their residences.
