Manix2

Oct. 3, 2013

Spyderco’s Manix2 family of knives showcases the made-in-USA quality of our factory in Golden, Colorado and the strength and ease of use of our patented Ball Bearing Lock. One of the most popular models of the Manix2 is the black-bladed version with G-10 scales. This knife is built on a foundation of skeletonized stainless steel liners that provide tremendous structural strength while keeping weight to a minimum. Strategically placed jimping (textured grooves) on the edges of the liners ensures a secure grip and superior control during demanding cutting chores. The liners are capped with black G-10—a fiberglass epoxy laminate—for additional grip texture and strength.

The Manix2’s blade is hollow-ground from premium CPM S30V stainless steel. This state-of-the-art powdered metallurgy steel offers superior cutting performance, corrosion resistance, and edge holding properties. To reduce its reflective properties for operational applications, the all-black version of the Manix2 features a tough Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating and blackened liners and handle hardware. It also features Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole for swift, positive one-handed opening with either hand.
