Two Osage County sheriff’s deputies are recovering after being shot Wednesday afternoon during a domestic call.

The two were assisting Pawhuska Police, who had responded about 2:30 p.m. to a domestic assault and battery with possible dangerous weapons call, according to a release from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

After determining the suspect had an outstanding felony warrant out of Osage County, the now-barricaded suspect began making verbal threats toward officers, according to the release.

After several hours of failed negotiations, the suspect fired on officers and deputies as they entered the residence, striking two deputies, according to the release.

Authorities returned fire, injuring the suspect.

All three were transported to a hospital with what were considered non-life threatening wounds, according to the release.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the officer-involved shootings.
