A man suspected of killing another man at a north Spokane home last week was arrested Wednesday.
Joshua T. Tillery, 33, was located at 2012 N. Ruby St., according to the Spokane Police Department. He's accused of fatally shooting 33-year-old Devon Mack in the head Friday.
When detectives learned Wednesday morning that Tillery was at the Ruby address, authorities quickly surrounded the home and apprehended Tillery, who surrendered peacefully, Lt. Scott Mullennix said.
Detectives detained two others who may face charges of rendering criminal assistance to Tillery, he added.
U.S. Marshals told employees at Just Roses Plus, a flower business near the house, that their agents were watching the home Wednesday morning.
"We didn't really expect anything to happen -- all of a sudden everything swarmed in," employee Linda Gump said.
Police had been looking for Tillery since Friday after an argument at 4508 N. Lincoln St. turned deadly. Police believe Tillery shot Mack in the head.
Tillery, who goes by "Danger" and has a collar of neck tattoos, went to the Lincoln home where Mack was visiting Friday evening, according to court documents. Mack and Tillery got into a heated argument and moved into the living room as they struggled.
Michelle L. Ferrell, a resident of the house, told police she saw Tillery holding a handgun.
"Get off me, dog. Don't make me shoot you. Get off me," she heard Tillery say, according to court documents.
She went outside to call 911 and heard a single gunshot.
She told police that when she came back inside she saw Tillery holding the gun in his hand, but he told her he didn't mean for the gun to go off.
Tillery left out the back door accompanied by Tara Rader, another resident of the home who was later detained for questioning and released.
Tillery was also wanted on an outstanding municipal warrant for possession of a dangerous weapon and trespassing from a 2010 case. He had skipped his court date, according to court records.
