A police standoff ended early Friday without incident after a man was arrested for allegedly preventing a woman from a leaving a residence in southeast Kansas City.
Police were called to the residence located in the 7400 block of Arleta Avenue just after 2 a.m. A man inside the residence refused to answer the door or come outside when ordered by police.
According to media reports, negotiators were summoned at 4:45 a.m., and the man and a woman came out a short time later. The man was arrested. Another woman and two children were inside the house but were unharmed, according to media reports. No other details were immediately available.
