Virginia Police Officer Stabbed by Boy During Domestic Call

A Virginia Beach police officer is recovering after being stabbed by a boy during a domestic incident early Wednesday morning.

A Virginia Beach police officer is recovering after being stabbed by a boy during a domestic incident early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Victory Road shortly after 2:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a domestic incident, according to The Daily Press.

When they arrived, the officers were confronted by a boy who became uncooperative. As the officers attempted to detain him, a struggle ensued and the boy stabbed one of the officers with a knife.

First aid was immediately provided to the wounded officer and the boy was taken into custody.

The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
