Implant Sciences Corp.'s Quantum Sniffer, is the a technology that detects pure vapors of explosives. The QS technology is closest to replicating the sniffing ability of dogs. The QS is easily detecting not only the most commonly used explosives such as Semtex and C4, but also the more difficult to trace ammonium nitrate (the explosive used in the Oklahoma bombings), TATP (an explosive commonly associated with terrorist activity) and black powder in about 2 to 5 seconds. More importantly, the Quantum Sniffer does not require physical contact with the object or person being screened.
