Sas R & D Services of Miramar, Florida (SASRAD) were awarded a contract for 76 search & detection kits for use during the G20 Summit held in Brisbane Australia.
These kits included the Xpose Miniature hand held Contraband Detector -otherwise known as a density meter - the Ultimate repairable fiberscope as well as other items for inspection and search procedures. Training of the search operators was conducted by the SASRAD representatives in Australia.
The G20 membership comprises a mix of the world’s largest advanced and emerging economies, representing about two-thirds of the world’s population, 85 per cent of global gross domestic product and over 75 per cent of global trade. The members of the G20 are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union. Leaders of those countries were in attendance. The number of attendees exceeded 4000 high level diplomats plus press and observers.
This success follows on from a series of contracts for specialized SASRAD kits and equipment from US Government entities such as : The Department of Defence - DEA – US State Department for Overseas Embassies and the IRS. Contraband found can be Narcotics, explosives, weapons, currency, WMD and even people and rare animals concealed in vehicles.
