PAHRUMP, Nevada -- A manhunt is on for a suspect who ambushed a Nye County Sheriff's deputy Tuesday night.
Officials said that 46-year-old Jeffrey Stevens attempted to take the deputy's gun before fleeing the scene, according to The Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The deputy was treated for unspecified non-life-threatening injuries
Stevens was last seen in the northern area of Pahrump, near Simkins Road and State Road 160, and is considered dangerous.
Authorities described him as being 6-foot-1 and about 185 pounds with blond hair, blue eyes and no facial hair.
