Officials said the officer stopped Darryl Lee Warden for speeding on Ammons Road around 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 3 when the incident occurred, according to WSPA-TV.

When Warden was called over to the officer's cruiser, he began fighting with the officer and struck him on the right side of his face. The entire incident was captured on the officer's body camera, which was knocked off when he was hit.

Warden then fled the scene and was seen running away holding a pink bag. The bag, which was later recovered, contained a large amount of marijuana. A 9 mm handgun was also recovered by police near the bag.

Warrants have been signed for Warden for driving under suspension, resisting arrest, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of marijuana.
