Minneapolis, MN  USA – Spitfire Armory has launched a new MX Ghost Ring Sight System that transforms a Mossberg 500, 590, 590A and 930 shotgun(s) into a precision firing weapon.  This sight system has obvious hunting applications; however, the system’s rugged design and tactical look attracts a wider audience that includes: military police, civilian police, sheriffs and a variety of specially equipped law enforcement units.

Designed for Mossberg shotguns, the MX Ghost Ring Sight System features include: 1) mounting requires no gun smithing 2) the front and rear sights have red and green fiber optics 3) the rear sight is fully adjustable for elevation and windage adjustments 4) the sight has conveniently placed laser engraved gradations to assist with gauging the sight movement 5) for front sight mounting, the band clamp can be expanded and slid between the magazine tube and the barrel (extended mag tubes) and then clamped back into place 6) a sight will soon be available that will mount in front of the barrel bracket on extended magazine models 7) The front sight is also designed to fit the heavy barrel on a 590A and even barrels with a breaching attachment.  8) The MX Ghost Ring Sight System is CNC machined in America out of 6061-T6 aluminum 9) The sight comes in hard coat black anodizing 10) the rear sight incorporates a Picatinny rail that allows the mounting of a reddot sight or other sighting optics 11) the new and innovative “Sight Lock” feature prevents sight movement when zeroing the sight.

The “Sight Lock” feature is the latest addition Spitfire Armory has brought to its product line.  When the clamping screw is loosened on the “Sight Lock” feature, the sight will not move under its own weight.  It can be moved to a new location and it will stay there until the clamping screw is tightened.  This is a highly valuable feature for those shooters that get frustrated when multiple adjustments are lost when a non-locking sight gets inadvertently moved.  It is also available on the existing EX Sight System used by Remington and Winchester owners.

“As part of an elaborate design and engineering process, we created the MX Ghost Ring Sight System relying on constructive feedback from a small focus group of actual customers,” Troy Pongratz, President of Spitfire Armory, states directly.  “We received consistent feedback on how much the MX Ghost Ring Sight System dramatically improved the accuracy of the Mossberg shotguns.  From my own shooting trials, I can tell you that I was able to shoot very tight groupings from distances of 10 to 50 yards.  Reasonable groupings are even possible out to 100 yards depending on a number of variables (rifled slug barrel).”

The MX Ghost Ring Sight System is designed for accuracy and quick target acquisition which makes it ideally suited for 3-Gun matches, a class of shooting competitions that is becoming increasingly popular throughout the country.
