Feb. 10--RICHARDSON, Tx -- There is new information about the man who opened fire at a DART station in Richardson earlier this week. A medical examiner confirmed 27-year-old Corey Jones was shot in the head, and that his death was a homicide, not a suicide. Richardson police are waiting on the ballistics report to determine who killed him.

Two bystanders were shot at the Arapaho Center Station. One, 42-year-old Eric Johnson, was killed. The other, Russell Weinstein, was shot in the shoulder, but survived. A DART officer, Nikisha Manderson, was also shot, but was wearing a bullet-proof vest, and is expected to survive.

DART says security will be increased throughout the year.

"All 55 of our platforms will have cameras starting in March. Later this year, when we start getting our shipment of brand new buses, all of those buses will come with cameras already on board," said DART Spokesperson, Mark Ball.

DART also hopes to start a texting alert system this summer.
