A Vallejo officer shot at a suspect brandishing a gun, but missed. The suspect ran, but stopped midway while pointing the revolver at the officer, which prompted the officer to fire another round which also missed.

Two out-of-towners were arrested late Friday after a non-injury, officer-involved shooting, Vallejo police said.

At about 11 p.m., two officers stopped a car near Vallejo's City Hall, in the area of Santa Clara and Georgia streets. The car then drove and stopped in the north parking lot of the city hall. A passenger emerged from the vehicle brandishing a gun, police said.

An officer then shot at the suspect, but missed. The suspect ran, but stopped midway while pointing the revolver at the officer, which prompted the officer to fire another round which missed.

The man did not discharge his weapon, police said.

The suspect then jumped over a fence into a complex in the 100 block of Carolina Street.

A perimeter was set around the Carolina Street complex to find the armed suspect while three others in the car were detained by police,

The suspect was later located with the weapon, which was determined to be stolen from a home in El Sobrante.

Police arrested a 17-year-old Antioch resident, who was booked into Solano County juvenile hall. The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Richmond man, Kevin Martin, was also arrested and booked into county jail.

The other two detained were 17-year-olds from El Sobrante and Richmond. They were eventually released to their parents, police said.
