Kansas City police have called off an Operation 100 after the search of a shooting scene didn't turn up a suspect.

Officers surrounded a townhouse building in the 1600 block of Mary Lou Williams Lane shortly after 8:40 a.m. Friday when one man was shot.

The victim told police that he had just walked into the building, which is just east of Ninth Street and the Paseo, when a naked man came out and shot him.

Believing that the shooter was still inside the building, the Operation 100 was called about 9:20 a.m.

A woman came out about an hour later. Tactical officers using a robot-mounted camera then searched the building, but found nothing. The operation ended shortly after noon.

The shooting victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
