AR-15/M-16 Buttstock Tool

Aug. 20, 2007
The AR-15/M16 Buttstock Tool from Brownells makes it handier to disassemble and reassemble the rifles' M4 collapsible buttstocks. The buttstock tool's compact size, 7 inches long, makes it easy to stow in a range bag, or hang on a pegboard behind the bench. The buttstock tool provides all the tools necessary for buttstock disassembly and reassembly, including: screwdriver blade for removing fixed stock screws and prying plastic fore ends from the retainer ring; 1/2-inch square torque wrench opening; stock ring retainer tightener for both new- and old-style M4 stocks; extension bolt remover for fixed stock receivers; and pins for both new- and old-style stock ring retainers are included and are easily changed out by loosening a hex screw at one end of the tool.
