MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. --

A 10-year-old girl and two women suffered minor scrapes from fragments after a gun was accidentally fired twice at a Michigan gun and knife show.

The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report that the semi-automatic weapon first went off about 1:48 p.m. Friday while a customer was handling it at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Mount Clemens, about 20 miles northeast of Detroit.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says it discharged again when the 64-year-old owner inspected the gun.

Wickersham says the victims suffered minor scrapes from fragments. They were treated at the scene and released.

Authorities say the gun's owner has been banned from future gun and knife shows at the venue and the incident is under investigation.
