StrikeHold® For Critical Law Enforcement Gun Maintenance

Dec. 2, 2020
Gun cleaner and lubricant originally developed for military goes on wet, but dries to hard finish to protect firearms from corrosion, carbon residue, and contaminants to ensure reliable performance

In the line of duty, law enforcement officers need their weapons to discharge every time without fail.  However, this requires proper firearm cleaning and lubrication after virtually every use.  Failing to do so can not only decrease firing accuracy but also lead to unexpected lock backs and misfires at the most inopportune – even life threatening – moments.

Officers understand the importance of regular gun maintenance.  Cleanings clear the bore of fouling and remove any residue or moisture build up on the firearm’s internal parts.  Gun oil is then usually applied to the firearm to lubricate its moving parts and protect it from corrosion.

The problem is that solvents and oil-based lubricants can be slick, oily and do not dry completely.  With repeated use, these lubricants can build into a gummy substance that actually attracts dust, dirt, etc.

Compounding the problem, exposure to rain, snow, saltwater, or even moisture in the air can also lead to corrosion.  This roughens surfaces and increases friction, which can impede moving parts, and decrease accuracy and reliability.  Other environmental contaminants like sand or dirt can also hinder function if they interrupt barrel rifling or even partially clog the barrel or internal parts.

When the U.S. military was challenged with keeping weapons in good working order, a product called StrikeHold was developed that works as a fast-acting, penetrating cleaner, lubricant, and protectant.  The gun cleaner has been battle tested on all types of weapons systems from 9-millimeter pistols to M110 sniper rifles, M4 to 50 caliber, field artillery and even M1A2 Abrams tanks.

After success with the U.S. military, the product is now becoming widely adopted by U.S. law enforcement officers and departments for essential gun maintenance.

“As the Range Master for Venice Police Department I believe in StrikeHold and have seen a reduction in dry firearms, lock backs and other malfunctions from oil issues,” states Sgt. Joe Whitehead, Venice Police Department, Florida.

The product goes on wet and dries in place, leaving a hard finish coating that protects weapons by deterring carbon build-up, contaminants and corrosion in all weather conditions.  As a cleaner, it removes firing residues, gum build-up as well as foreign debris from weapons components.

“I’ve been using your product for about ten years now and have found it to be the best all-around weapon cleaner on the market,” states Mike Jolly, Highlands Police Department, North Carolina.

As a lubricant, the product contains synthetic-based additives that act like microscopic ball-bearings to reduce friction.

“We currently do not have a product that can match StrikeHold’s performance. As the master trainer and lead armorer, I have made a recommendation that we purchase this product for use department-wide,” states Walter Makowski, St. Augustine Police Department, Florida.

While law enforcement officers understand how important proper firearm maintenance is for protecting themselves and the public, the time-consuming nature of the process itself has often stood in the way.

Fortunately, the availability of a battletested gun cleaner and lubricant is simplifying crucial firearm maintenance, while extending protection, for the benefit of officers and the public.  Law enforcement officers can receive a professional discount at https://bit.ly/32uYnlr.
