Indiana State Police Trooper Helps Save Woman's Life

The quick actions of Indiana State Police Trooper Taylor Roth and paramedics most likely saved the life of a woman on April 3.

FAIRMOUNT, Indiana -- The quick actions of an Indiana State Police trooper and paramedics most likely saved the life of a woman on April 3.

Trooper Taylor Roth responded to the residence in the 1500 block of North Main Street in Fairmount at approximately 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a possible drug overdose and found an unresponsive 33 year-old woman, according to a news release.

Roth immediately rendered aide to the woman and performed life saving measures that initiated a normal breathing pattern and normal color returning to her lips. When paramedics arrived on scene, they continued medical treatment on the woman and transported her to a Marion Hospital.

The trooper was assisted by paramedics from Grant County EMS.

Officials said that the woman is expected to make a full recovery.
