Kay Lall

Kay is CEO/Founder of AED Professionals /General Medical Devices Company for the last 15 years and is responsible for its exponential growth.  Under her leadership, GMD, Inc. has become a leading provider of  Zoll, Physio Control, Defibtech, HeartSine and other name-brand Automated External Defibrillators for home, public and professional use. The company also markets GE Healthcare Patient Monitoring Systems, Nihon Kohden's ECG/EKG Machines. In addition, GMD is a major supplier of Prestan CPR/AED Training Products,  CPR/AED Training and LifeCorp first-aid emergency oxygen. Currently she is in the process of adding portable x-ray and imaging machines to its product lineup and setting up a separate CPR/AED Training Center with the introduction of Defibtech Lifeline ARM Automated Chest Compression (ACC) device, a mechanical solution to performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Kay holds an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from Philadelphia Temple University's Fox School of Business Administration. Before founding General Medical Devices, Inc. Company, she held key executive positions with fortune 500 companies and did consulting for U.S. DOE in High Level Radioactive Waste Disposal with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in West Valley, New York.  In addition, she worked with two Philadelphia mayors to help them in improving Indo-American community relations.  In Chicagoland area, she is actively involved in promoting awareness about the Sudden Cardiac Arrest by speaking in local churches and senior citizen assisted-living communities. She is passionate in her cause  and since 2003, it has been her mission that every place where people live, work and worship should have CPR training and ready access to an AED. 

She is a founding member of the 9/11 Memorial in New York City and a Board Member of Council of Advisors for the South Asian Cardiovascular Center at Advocate  Lutheran General Hospital and NorthShore University HealthSystem in Chicago, IL.  In the past, she has also served as President of Indo American Children’s Association and Vice-President of Council of Indian Organizations’ of Greater Philadelphia, PA.   She firmly believes Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime and in a critical situation like SCA, CPR and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can make the difference between life and death. Saving lives is her mission.  Her articles on Why we need AED’s have appeared in New York Dental Association magazine and in the local Chicagoland area papers.  She was featured in June 2015 CHICAGO MAGAZINE.  Believing in her cause, she has donated all the life-saving AED units needed for the 9-11 Memorial Visitor’s Center and the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York city. In addition she has made a commitment to maintain/replace these AED devices forever ( in perpetuity).
