An off-duty cop shot a man who allegedly tried to pull off a robbery at Penn Station Wednesday night, police sources told the Daily News.

The officer was with her husband — also an off-duty NYPD cop — when an 32-year-old man allegedly tried to rob the couple inside a Long Island Rail Road train in Penn Station at Eighth Ave. and W. 31st St. around 7 p.m.

A scuffle started on the train and then spilled out onto the Penn Station platform, where the female cop fired off one shot, striking the man in the shoulder. Her cop husband suffered a laceration to his ear and to the side of his head during the scuffle, the sources said.

The married cops were on their way home, sources said, adding the alleged robber was taken into custody and was in stable condition at a nearby hospital. Charges against him were pending, the sources said.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, has five prior arrests, including an Aug. 8 assault charge in Brooklyn, sources said.
