A bold burglar broke into actor Robert De Niro’s Upper East Side home early Monday morning and tried to steal gifts from under the Christmas tree, according to a report.

Police were tailing the crook, who was already suspected in five recent burglaries, when they saw her enter the famed actor’s home on E. 65th St. near Park Ave. about 2:45 a.m., police sources told the Daily News.

Cops followed her inside and witnessed her stuffing presents from under the tree into a bag, according to ABC 7 Eyewitness News.

De Niro came downstairs to investigate what was going on but did not interact with the crook, police sources told The News.

Shanice Aviles, 30, was arrested for burglary. She has 32 prior arrests, 20 of them for felonies, according to police sources.

She has a tattoo of a skull with a knife through it and a rose on her hand. She also has a rose tattoo on her arm. She has the words “respect” and “loyalty” tattooed on her arms along with the name “Veronica,” according to police sources.
