An armed mugger fleeing cops on a Bronx subway train died early Tuesday when he fell between cars and was electrocuted by the third rail, police said.

The crook and three teenage accomplices had just robbed a 46-year-old man at gunpoint on a No. 2 train when cops alerted to the robbery stopped the train at the E. 180th St. station about 5:30 a.m., police said.

The cops quickly apprehended the accomplices — three boys aged 16, 17 and 18 — but the fourth suspect ran to the end of the train car.

As he continued fleeing between cars, he lost his balance between two cars and ended up under the train, cops said. He died after making contact with the third rail. Cops were working to determine his identity.

Charges against the three teens were pending Tuesday. One was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with a minor injury.

No weapons were found on the man who died nor his three accomplices, but witnesses reported seeing the crooks toss at least two guns from the train as cops arrived, police said.
