The incident began at about 9:30 p.m., when officers responded to the 500 block of North Brown Street, police said. That’s in a part of Lexington County between U.S. 378/ Sunset Boulevard and U.S. 1/ Augusta Road, about 2 miles from the Gervais Street bridge and downtown Columbia.
There was no word about why police were called to North Brown Street.
Other than the shooting, information about what happened, and the number of people involved, when officers arrived was not available.
