A Harford County sheriff’s deputy was flown to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and a suspect was taken into custody following “extensive police activity” on I-95 in Aberdeen, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office said one deputy was injured and advised motorists to expect delays on I-95 in Aberdeen in a social media post.
All lanes on I-95 between Exit 89 and the Maryland House were closed, the sheriff’s office said. The injured deputy was transported to Shock Trauma, alert and conscious at the time.
Videos posted on social media showed traffic stopped on I-95 as a helicopter landed on the highway.
Police said one suspect was taken into custody but have not provided details on the incident.
