Calif. Police Arrest Man for Driving, er, Galloping Under the Influence

Whittier police briefly chased an allegedly intoxicated man on horseback when he refused to stop for officers as he was "galloping through traffic."

It wasn't your typical police chase.

Someone refusing to pull over while riding a horse that was "galloping through traffic" led Whittier police officers on a brief pursuit on Saturday.

Eventually, the person was taken into custody on suspicion of "driving" under the influence.

The Whittier Police Department described the incident on social media.
