Texas Sheriff's Deputy Dragged by Motorcyclist
A Potter County, Texas deputy was hit and dragged with a motorcycle Thursday evening.
The deputy attempted to stop a motorcyclist who was clocked going 117 mph around 6:30 p.m., according to The Globe-News.
"As (the officer) was coming up, the motorcycle was coming at him acting like he was going to stop," Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas told the newspaper. "He actually stopped in front of his vehicle. The deputy walked around his vehicle and was trying to approach him … at that point the motorcyclist gunned it, hitting my officer, dragging him down the street."
The officer was uninjured and the suspect is currently being sought.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black full face helmet, a gray short-sleeved shirt with red and white stripes, fully tattooed arms, black gloves, blue jeans and black and bright-blue shoes.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit is investigating.
