Police officers in Norwood, Ohio pulled a suspect from his burning vehicle after he wrecked it during a pursuit early Tuesday morning.
Officials said that Ryan Brown's car caught fire after he crashed into a parked SUV and then a pole on Montgomery Road around 2:30 a.m., according to WCPO-TV.
Police dashboard camera video shows Brown slam into the SUV near Cypress Way in Pleasant Ridge and then continuing at speeds up to 80 mph before hitting a pole near Kincaid Road.
The 36-year-old was knocked unconscious and Officer Mike Jackson approached his vehicle with his gun drawn but quickly switched to rescue mode.
Jackson and Officer Phillip Harvey pulled the man out of the vehicle and dragged him to safety.
"They saved that suspect's life," Lt. Ron Murphy said.
Brown underwent surgery at University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, OVI, failure to comply, OVI and driving under suspension.
Police found 163 grams of marijuana in the car along with a digital scale with marijuana residue on it.
