Florida Sheriff's Deputy Killed in Cruiser Crash

A Taylor County, Floirda Sheriff's deputy was killed in an on-duty crash Monday morning.

Deputy Scott Williams was in his patrol car on the way to work when he rear-ended a logging truck near the intersection of US 98/US 19 at Beach Road about five miles south of Perry, according to WCTV.

The highway was shut down and rerouted Monday morning, but has since been reopened.

Funeral arrangements for Williams are pending.
