A Hialeah Police motorcycle officer was injured after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

A Hialeah, Florida Police motorcycle officer was injured after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

The officer was riding on his department-issued motorcycle on I-95 when he was involved in the crash between 119th and 95th streets in Miami-Dade County, according to WPLG-TV.

Reponders helped place the officer on a stretcher before he was flown to a local hospital in stable condition for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Hialeah Police spokesman Sgt. Carl Zogby said the officer was "banged up" and suffered road rash along with several fractures.
