Scott Arlen Lange, who was convicted of killing a deputy in 1991, was arrested following a high-speed pursuit late Wednesday night.

A convicted cop-killer was arrested last week following a high-speed pursuit with authorities in Minnesota.

Isanti County Sheriff's deputies attempted to pull over Scott Arlen Lange late Wednesday night when he let them on a chase with speeds topping 100 mph, according to KSTP-TV.

Lange was sentenced to 20 years in prison for beating Pine County Deputy Michael Morrow to death with his flashlight following a traffic stop in 1991. He was released on intensive supervision in 2008.

Officials said that Lange ditched his vehicle and ran into a corn field during the pursuit and that a K-9 was able to track him down.

After a scuffle with the dog and deputies, he was taken into custody.

He sustained bite wounds from the dog, who suffered an eye injury during the fight.

Lange was charged with two counts of fleeing in a motor vehicle, drug possession and assaulting a police officer.
