A newly released dashcam video shows a dramatic close call for an Ohio police officer.

Bratenahl Police Officer Timothy O'Haire was conducting a traffic stop had someone pulled over near the East 140th exit ramp of I-90 when his cruiser was side-swiped by a speeding driver, according to WJW-TV.

The cruiser's dashboard camera captured the collision and parts from the passing vehicle flying into the air.

O'Haire told responding officers that he was uninjured and then they turned their attention to the driver who struck the cruiser.

They noticed the Dodge Caravan said 'Ace Taxi' along the side and after speaking with Antoine Keith Miller, they noticed his breath smelled of alcohol.

Miller was told to get out of the van to perform field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer test. He was arrested and charged with OVI and failure to control.

O'Haire was eventually taken to Euclid Hospital as a precaution and later released.
