Video and photos of a police officer in Western Australia caring for an orphaned baby kangaroo have gone viral.
The department posted the images of Constable Scott Manson with the joey at the Cue Police Station in the Murchison region to its Facebook page on Friday, according to Perth Now.
The four-month-old named Cuejo can be seen hopping into the constable's shirt -- just as it would a pouch.
Police rescued the joey from the pouch of its mother after she was fatally struck by a truck on Wednesday morning.
Mason said he would have his hands full over the next few months because his wife just gave birth to their first child.
"Because it needs to be fed every three hours, it's going to be my little child basically as my wife's in Perth with our newborn," he said.
