Ecuador Transit Officers Come to Aid of Sloth

Transit officers in Ecuador recently came to the rescue of a sloth attempting to cross a road in the province of Los Rios.

A spokesperson for the Transit Commission of Ecuador said the adorable mammal was struggling to make it across the roadway when it was spotted by the officers, according to KTLA-TV.

Veterinarians checked out the sloth and determined he was in good condition. It was then transported back to its habitat.

The commission posted several photos of the officer and the sloth to its Facebook page on Friday.

As of Tuesday morning, the post had received more than 50,000 likes and close to 20,000 shares.
