The man charged in the death of an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper pleaded guilty Friday.

Steven Clark entered a blind guilty plea on Friday to first-degree manslaughter in a crash that claimed the life of Trooper Nicholas Dees in January, according to KOCO-TV.

Clark ignored the activated emergency vehicle lights when he struck Dees and Trooper Keith Burch -- who was seriously injured in the crash -- near the Seminole and Pottawatomie County line.

He was arrested and charged in February. Following his arrest, he told the news station that he was sorry for what he had done and would do anything to fix it.

Clark is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 8.
