An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper helped save 15 flooding victims in less than six hours last month.
Trooper Jansen Idlett was on duty the night of May 23 when rising water took over Mist Meadow's home, according to KFOR-TV.
The woman told the news station that her bed was floating with her kids on it.
"I was very scared because my kids can't swim," she said. "We were very much in fear for our lives."
Soon she saw two men arrive in a boat, one of whom was Idlett. With the help of Firefighter Max Punneo, he pulled Meadown and her kids from the home and got them to safety.
"It makes me happy that everyone's OK," Idlett said. "That's the main thing."
Before he helped rescue Meadows, he saved flooding victims trapped in four others homes.
"Whether it's my community or somewhere else they send me, you don’t grumble about it. You pack up and go," he told the news station. "For some reason, I was in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment and I was able to help some people."
