Deputies broke a car window to arrest a Rock Creek woman who rammed a vehicle, damaging a patrol car and pinning a deputy early Saturday, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy spotted Molly R. Noonan in a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada on U.S. 26 just after midnight Saturday, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a sheriff's office spokesman. He alerted other officers, aware that there was a warrant out for her arrest.
Another deputy found the Oldsmobile in North Plains, stopped in a driveway, Ray said. Noonan had her 15-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son with her.
Ray said Noonan initially gave deputies a fake name and identification, but deputies recognized her from previous contacts and told her she was under arrest. Noonan then accelerated in reverse, Ray said, striking a 2007 Acura in the driveway and pushing it into a patrol vehicle.
Four deputies jumped out of the way to avoid getting hit, Ray said, but one got pinned between the Oldsmobile and the Acura. The teenage girl got out of her mother's car and started to attack the deputy, Ray said. Deputies quickly grabbed her and took her into custody. The deputy sustained minor injuries.
Deputies broke a window on the Oldsmobile to reach Noonan, who continued to resist arrest, Ray said. She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries before being booked into the Washington County Jail.
The teenage girl was taken to the Donald E. Long juvenile detention facility in Portland, with charges pending, Ray said. The boy was taken into protective custody.
Noonan is accused of five counts of attempted first-degree assault, five counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of reckless endangering, escape, resisting arrest, identity theft, forgery and providing false information to a police officer, Ray said. She also was booked on a warrant related to first- and second-degree theft charges, forgery and identify theft. Her bail was set at $415,000.
She was scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
