ST. CLOUD, Minnesota -- A deputy and K-9 team with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office located a missing elderly man June 22 after conducting a search in a wooded area.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at approximately 5:10 p.m. to the 1900 block of CentraCare Circle following a report of a missing elderly male.
Deputy Berg and K-9 Storm were deployed to assist with the search. The team conducted a track through a wooded area and ultimately located the man near the bank of the Sauk River.
Authorities said the individual was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was safely transported for medical care.
The sheriff's office credited the deputy and K-9 team's rapid response and coordinated search efforts with helping bring the incident to a successful conclusion.
