Recently released body camera footage captured Virginia police officers creating a human chain to save a driver trapped in a sinking car after crashing into a pond over the weekend.

The rescue happened at about 5 p.m. Sunday when Fairfax County police responded to a report of a vehicle that had driven off the road and into a pond, WUSA-TV reports. When officers reached the scene, the found that the driver was still inside the car as it was sinking into the water.

Ditching their gear and jumping into the pond, officers shattered a car window to reach the driver. With the help of bystanders, they formed a human chain to pull the woman to safety.

"This rescue is a testament to the teamwork, training, and dedication our Fairfax County first responders bring every day," the department stated in a social media that included body camera footage of the rescue.

The woman suffered minor injuries in the crash. Medics also treated several officers for minor injuries at the scene.
