A Hardwick-New Braintree police detective and a Hardwick fire deputy pushed through flames to save a driver trapped in a car that crashed into a tree and caught fire.

• Body camera footage shows the responders forcing entry into the car, pulling the driver to safety and beginning medical care until medics arrived.

• The driver was transported to a hospital, and the crash remains under investigation.

After pulling the driver out of the car, the detective "began medical treatment" on the individual until medics arrived. The driver was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but no details were given about their condition.

"Amazing work by both of our public safety departments working together," Landine stated.

The department is investigating the crash.
