A Florida was injured when he was dragged roughly 150 feet during a traffic stop earlier this week.

The incident happened at around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday when a Bradenton police officer pulled over a for "an observed violation," the department stated in a release that included body camera footage from the stop. Although the driver—identified as Lenny Macias-Rangel, 19—stopped, he refused to turn off the car's engine.

The officer then opened the vehicle's door and reached in to shift the car to park. That's when Macias-Rangel sped away, pinning the officer against the car's dashboard.

The officer was dragged by the car for roughly 150 feet before slamming into a pole. As he was arrested, Macias-Rangle fought and struck several officers, and a vehicle search found over a kilogram of marijuana and 62 THC vape cartridges.

The officer was rushed to the hospital with a concussion, a dislocated shoulder and minor leg injuries. He was treated and released.
