Video: Suspect Brandishes 2 Handguns in Motel Shootout with Wash. Police

A Moses Lake police sergeant was shot and wounded in the foot, and a suspect wielding twin handguns was struck in the hand in an exchange of gunfire in a Motel 6 parking lot.

MOSES LAKE, WA — Video from a body camera worn by a Moses Lake Police sergeant filmed during an officer-involved shooting incident at Motel 6 in Moses Lake on May 4 has been released.

The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. and involved two Moses Lake officers and a suspect, later identified as Zachary Allan Stockton, 37, Moses Lake. The incident is under investigation by the Central Basin Investigation team, which released the footage.

The CBIT is made up of detectives from Grant, Adams and Kittitas counties, and is in charge of the investigation into the shooting.

Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff's Office, wrote in a release that investigators have reviewed video from the scene and have interviewed the suspect, the officers and other witnesses.

The footage shows the conversation between Sgt. Adam Munro and Stockton, which ended in an exchange of gunfire. Stockton was hit in the hand and Munro in the foot during the exchange.
