A Texas police officer on patrol recently stepped in to assist a young man prepare for his first job interview by helping him tie his tie.

On Thursday, the Stafford Police Department posted body camera footage of the touching encounter from this past summer. In the video, a man on his way to a job interview approached several officers returning to their cruisers following an unrelated call and asked for help getting ready.

“I was just asking if you could tie my tie for me?" the man asks. "I was kind of in a rush."

Two of the younger officers had trouble with the request. But an officer with "a bit more life experience" was able to not only get the tie tied, but he also walked the man through the righ way to do it.

As the officers finish the tie tying lesson, the man tells them that he's headed to an interview for his first-ever job and wants to make a good first impression. 

"The act of helping a young man with his tie for a job interview truly highlights the exceptional qualities of our Stafford PD Officers, and this young man will undoubtedly cherish this memory for a lifetime," one commenter wrote on the social media post, which has captured over 56,000 views on Facebook.

Along with praising the officers for their positive community interaction, commenters also wished the man luck in his pursuit of employment. The biggest unanswered question: Did the man get the job?
