Las Vegas Metro police this week released body camera video days after an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead.

Officers pulled over a car driving recklessly around 4 a.m. on April 6 near the 200 block of Madge Lane, according to KSNV-TV.

That's when the motorist, identified as 22-year-old Junior David Lopez, got out of the car with a gun and dropped it.

Despite being given commands to stay away from the gun, Lopez got on his knees and reached for it. Both officers who were on the scene fired at least two rounds.

Lopez later died at the hospital.

This is the fifth officer-involved shooting for Las Vegas Metro police in 2018, and the third to turn deadly.
