    The Ara-Shock ballistic insert from Central Lake Armor Express is a semi-flexible plate that combines lightweight maneuverability with exceptional stand-alone performance. Made from 100-percent woven Aramid fiber, the 5-inch by 8-inch Ara-Shock weighs .36 pounds and is .23 inches thick. These inserts, which eliminate fragmentation and spalling, also are available in sizes 7 inches by 10 inches and 10 inches by 12 inches.
