With different roles in law enforcement requiring different gloves, Blauer added four gloves to its already-popular line of uniform gloves for patrol, traffic, and tactical officers. All four gloves are touchscreen-enabled to allow officers to utilize electronic devices as needed, but feature different strengths geared toward their intended purpose.
First, the Fray™ glove is a tough, all-purpose duty glove meant for no-nonsense use in modern patrol. Water-repellent but highly breathable, it features molded EVA inserts on the knuckle and thumb pad to shield against impacts with hard or rough surfaces, and is built from durable sheep leather which gives an excellent grip.
Next, the Storm™ Traffic Glove is the first glove which is as durable as a light-duty patrol glove, yet made to be highly visible on traffic assignments. Water-repellent hi vis Spandex shell fabric is combined with 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective trim for ultimate visibility, with a silicone grip on the PU leather palm for a sure grip.
Bike officers will find that the final two new options, the Rumble™ and Rumble Shorty™, are purpose-built for their unique needs, designed by a long-time avid cyclist for hours on the road. Machine-washable construction made of highly breathable yet durable stretch fabrics and meshes holds up to daily use, with gel inserts to protect palms and knuckles. Silicone grip pattern on the palm keeps a positive grip on the handlebar, while a pre-curved fit provides superior comfort while riding. One added touch is a terrycloth thumb for wiping away sweat or clearing precipitation from eyewear, featured on both the full-finger Rumble and the fingerless Rumble Shorty.
