The LIGER (Lightweight Extreme Resistant) Gun Belt, from Maxpedition, represents a break-through in gun belt design, utilizing custom components and proprietary processes. Thanks to its high-strength, resin-embedded, polyester fabric core, the Ligerthane belt material possesses more than 2,000 pounds of tensile strength with more than 300 pounds of hole pull strength. The highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane coating makes the belt impervious to water, mildew, rot and resistant to many common solvents. The LIGER Gun Belt buckle is machined from a solid billet of T6-6061 aircraft aluminum with an integral hook design. The LIGER buckle and Ligerthane belt are riveted together using 3/16-inch stainless-steel rivets resulting in a strong, permanent one-piece construction.
