The SureFire A2 Aviator is a dual light source flashlight with a trio of low-output LEDs surrounding a bright Xenon incandescent lamp. Using a microprocessor and advanced electronics to digitally regulate the power to the respective light sources, the A2 Aviator is able to offer an instantaneous choice of low- or high-out beams. The latest innovation to SureFire's A2 Aviator flashlight is yellow-green LEDs that are compatible with military Night Operating Devices (NODs). The Aviator is equipped with a six-step tailcap, allowing the user to lockout activation of the flashlight entirely, partially lockout only the bright Xenon lamp, momentarily trigger either the low-level LEDs or the high-output source or, finally, constantly activate either the LEDs or the Xenon lamp.
