Homicide and Hostage Situation in Henderson

Law enforcement is investigating a homicide and hostage situation that occurred Tuesday, November 3.

NEVADA-In the city of Henderson on Tuesday, November 3, law enforcement was called to the 1400 block of Stonelake Cove Avenue where it was reported shots had been fired. Upon arrival, they saw one subject injured in a doorway and two decedents ages 33 and 39. A 16-year-old was found injured with an apparent gunshot wound. 

Officers were able to locate the suspect, Jason Neo Bourne, age 38, barricaded with 12-year-old hostage and a handgun. Bourne had the firearm held to the male hostage's head. An attempted negotiation with the suspect resulted in an officer involved shooting. No officers were wounded in the incident; both the hostage and the suspect sustained injuries. Officers tried to save the juvenile but both he and the suspect died. The 16-year-old remains in stable condition. 

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
