Marion Police Officer Wisam "Troy" Algburi has been terminated after he reportedly threatened to "blow-up" the trianing academy last week.

A Marion, Arkansas police officer has been terminated after he reportedly threatened to "blow-up" the trianing academy last week.

Officer Wisam "Troy" Algburi was enrolled in the Black River Technical College's Law Enforcement Training Academy when he allegedly made the threats against fellow classmates and staff on Sept. 29 around noon, according to KAIT-TV.

The 29-year-old officer was was arrested and charged with felony terroristic threatening. He was bonded out of jail Friday.

"We are held to a higher standard, and we won't tolerate that," Police Chief Gary Kelley told the news station.

Algburi had been employed with the Marion Police Department since February 2017.

The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is handling the investigation.
