A man was arrested in the shooting of an Anne Arundel County, Md. police officer following a manhunt Friday.
The officer was critically wounded around 2:20 a.m. near a 7-Eleven along College Parkway in the Arnold area, according to WJLA-TV.
Police took 30-year-old Colvin Lamar White into custody around 9 a.m. in Severn and charged him with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony/violent crime, handgun on person, regulated firearm/illegal possession, conspiracy to commit robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
The wounded police officer was taken to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, where he remained in critical condition Friday night.
White is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
The incident is currently under investigation.
